Oh yeah

I almost forgot, I finally got my copy of Breaking Dawn. I was so mad that it took so long, I'll never pre order again. Back to the book, so far it's as good as I thought it would be. My eyes were getting so blurry, I had to put it down. I can hardly wait to find out how it ends!

Good News

I had a CT scan this morning, and I was amazed, they didn't find anything unusual. I don't get those kind of results very often, so I felt like that was good news! Now I can relax and plan our New York trip. We leave in less than 2 weeks. It amazes me how fast time flies. We've booked two things while we're there, we're going to see a broadway play, and we're taking a boat ride at Niagra Falls. I think we go under the falls. We're doing the Maid of the Mist, and the Cave of the winds. It's a 5 hour excursion! Anyway, I'm pretty excited. We're driving from NYC up to Buffalo, and taking in all of Larry and Randy's favorite fishing holes. Of course, he is taking along his fly pole, so I don't know how much sight seeing we will get done. It should be a great trip.
Larry has finally finished Lizzi's kennel, and it looks pretty darn good. As he was building the roof, I told him that it looked like a manger. Now that it's finished, it doesn't look like that at all. He worked really hard on it, and as usual, it's top notch!

About time!

It's been a while since I last blogged. A lot has gone on. I've taken a 3 month leave of absence from work, and all I can say is WOW! I've worked for 19 years, and this is the first time I've actually had time to myself. I've actually gone grocery shopping, and prepared meals, and we generally eat before 6. That in itself is amazing. One of my goals was to catch up on my house work, and so far that hasn't happened. Another goal was to spend some more time with my family, and that has been fun.
Larry and I took off and went to Vegas for 3 days. We stayed at the Stratosphere. It was hot there, but we had a good time. From there Larry, Randy, and I went to Montana. We stayed there for 5 days. Brad, Kristy, Parker, Karlee, Cooper, John, Aubs, Oliver, and Lincoln joined us. We had a lot of fun there. The guys weren't too happy with the fishing, but the rest of it was good. Parker caught his first fish up there, and I'm not sure who was the most excited---Larry, Brad, or Parker.
I've been able to do some fun stuff with the grandkids. We spent a day at the Brigham pool, went to the Gateway and played in the water there, and we're going to go to the pool in North Ogden this week.
Saturday was Little Valley Days. We started off with the parade, Karlee was on a float with her dance class. The parade was short and sweet. Karlee was the cutest one on her float. Parker and Cooper got enough candy to give us all a belly ache. We then went up to the school house to do some games, get cotton candy and sno cones. We walked across the street and played at the lake, and then came home. John and Aubs and boys came up then. The big boys went golfing and the girls and little boys went to McDonalds. Always an experience. We ended the evening watching the fire works. They were great, but not as good as Lincoln's reaction. He was sooo cute. He wasn't scared a bit. Larry and Randy missed all the Little Valley fun. The had gone back to Montana to fish, and the fishing was great. I guess we all had a great weekend.

Well, it's Saturday night and I'm just sitting here watching TV. Pa and Randall went to Chalise fishing for steel heads. I've been sick all week, and all I've done is sleep. After work I went to watch Parker play soccer. He's a great goalie! It was so cold that I left before the game was over. I got lunch and came home, and slept on and off all day. I'm finally starting to feel better! Whoo Hoo!

Cancun

We just got back from spending a week in Cancun. We couldn't have asked for better weather or better company. We had a great time. We took the whole fam except for the youngest three. We enjoyed spending time on the beach and in the ocean. We went on a few different excursions. We went to Xel-Ha where everyone went snorkeling except for me and Karlee. We had fun there. We went on a jungle tour in 2 seater boats. It was quite an adventure. Parker and Karlee were not to fond of the boat ride there. It was a little rough. The snorkeling there was fun. The guys went on a deep sea fishing trip. Poor John got a little sea sick. They caught a lot of fish, and really enjoyed it. The rest of us stayed at the Hotel and spent time at the pool. We enjoyed ourselves. We went shopping at the flea market. We had fun trying to barter. We also took a bus ride into the heart of Cancun. It sure made me appreciate what I have. The whole trip was really fun. The worst thing was coming home to a snow storm. Talk about a bummer. Going back to work was rough, we got audited. Good thing though, we passed the audit. It was a great family trip. I hope we can do it again.
